Parents can request a review of PSLE results through their child’s school. SEAB’s current FAQ says the appeal application and payment must reach the school within five working days from results release; late applications are not accepted. Punggol families should contact the school promptly for its submission instructions.
A PSLE results review does not promise a changed grade and is separate from secondary-school choice and posting procedures. Ask the school what the review covers, what the current fee is and how the outcome will be communicated before deciding to proceed.
Keep the result slip, application acknowledgement and payment receipt together. This guide explains the practical steps for a PSLE review enquiry in Punggol, including what parents can ask and how to continue preparing for Secondary 1 while the process runs.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Check the deadline immediately
Read the official PSLE review FAQ and the school’s results-release instructions. Count working days using the confirmed release date and ask the school for its precise submission cutoff.
Do not reuse a calendar date from a previous examination year. A five-working-day window depends on the actual results-release date and intervening non-working days.
Ask which form to use, where to submit it and how payment is made. A telephone enquiry about a review is not the same as a submitted application with payment.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Decide what question you want answered
Read the result slip carefully and name the subject or subjects about which you want to enquire. Ask the school to explain the scope of the formal review instead of relying on a parent-group description of the process.
A result differing from a preliminary examination score can prompt an enquiry, but that difference alone does not demonstrate an error. School assessments and national examinations are different sets of evidence.
Discuss the decision calmly with your child. Explain that you are clarifying the official process and that no outcome is guaranteed. Avoid making the child feel responsible for predicting whether a review will change anything.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
Understand the limits of available information
SEAB’s answer-script FAQ says marked PSLE scripts are not released for viewing. Do not expect a review application to provide a marked paper for the family to inspect.
If your question concerns how a grade is reported or how a score affects a later application, ask about that specific issue. A review of examination results and an explanation of posting eligibility are different enquiries.
Keep the discussion focused on the published procedure. Online stories about another child’s appeal cannot establish the scope or likely outcome of your child’s case.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
Submit and retain the record
Complete the school’s required form accurately, check the subject selection and pay by the instructed method. Ask whether the school provides acknowledgement of receipt and whether anything remains outstanding.
Save the application reference, date and receipt. Record the contact person and the expected next update if the school provides one. These details help you follow up without submitting the same request repeatedly.
If you discover an error in the application, contact the school immediately about whether and how it can be corrected. Do not assume a second form automatically replaces the first.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
Continue planning the next stage
Follow the current Secondary 1 selection and posting instructions while the review is pending. Ask the school how to handle any interaction between the review and the relevant submission deadlines.
Our Secondary 1 posting guide provides broader context. Use the current MOE notice for the actual exercise rather than postpone action while waiting for a review.
When the outcome arrives, read it with the school if anything is unclear. Then move the family’s attention towards the confirmed next steps, school routines and learning support your child will need.
Information checked on 10 October 2026. Follow current official and school instructions for your child’s individual arrangements.
