If your child is not showing in Parents Gateway, first distinguish a missing child profile from a Singpass login failure or a missing school message. Punggol parents who can open PG but cannot see their child should check the child’s onboarding stage and whether school records or their identification details have changed.
For families registering a child for Primary 1, the recently updated official Parents Gateway FAQ says early access is likely from May in the registration year. If that onboarding has not given you access, the FAQ advises waiting until the end of November for the primary school to help grant access, then approaching the school if problems continue.
A missing Parents Gateway profile needs a different response from disabled notifications. This guide helps Punggol families identify the problem, prepare the right information for the school and follow the official support route without relying on repeated app reinstalls.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Identify exactly what is missing
Can you sign in through Singpass? Can you see one child but not another? Can you see the child’s profile but no recent announcement? Write down which of these applies before contacting support. Each description narrows the problem.
A missing notification does not establish that access has been removed. Open the app and check whether the relevant child and school post are visible. If they are, the issue concerns alerts rather than a missing profile.
Use your own authorised access. The official access FAQ explains access for parents, legal guardians and authorised caregivers through Singpass. The school assists with access changes involving guardians, caregivers or custody arrangements.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Check the current Primary 1 guidance
The recently updated P1 onboarding FAQ describes early access from May of the registration year and school assistance after November if access remains unavailable. Use the current FAQ together with instructions from your child’s school.
Another official FAQ about a secured P1 place still describes an October onboarding round. Because those pages differ, avoid treating a date on an older guide as a guaranteed activation date. Ask the school which instructions apply to your incoming cohort if the timing affects an immediate task.
Parents Gateway is not the P1 registration portal, and access to PG is not required to register for Primary 1. Use the official MOE P1 registration information for registration procedures and deadlines.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
If a profile that used to appear disappears
Consider whether your identification details changed recently. The official lost-access FAQ explains that an NRIC change can de-link an account. In that situation, inform the school of your new FIN or NRIC through its proper channel.
The same FAQ says access after secondary school or junior college/Millennia Institute graduation lasts until 31 December of the graduation year. Access can return when the child enters another institution that uses PG. A change of educational stage may therefore explain the timing.
If neither of those situations applies, the FAQ directs parents to the Parents Gateway helpdesk. Describe when the profile disappeared and whether other children’s profiles remain visible.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
Prepare a useful school enquiry
Give the school the child’s name, class or incoming P1 cohort, your relationship to the child, and whether the profile never appeared or disappeared after previously working. Include the wording of any error. Send identifiers only through the secure channel the school requests.
If one parent has access and the other does not, state that clearly. Ask the school to check the affected adult’s access record. Having access for one adult does not mean another adult should use that person’s Singpass credentials.
When a consent form or school arrangement is urgent, contact the school directly and ask how to respond while access is being checked. Do not assume that a technical problem automatically extends the school’s deadline.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
Keep access and communication dependable
After access is restored, check that the correct child and school appear. Read outstanding messages and complete any pending action according to the school’s instructions. Then check notification settings if alerts are still missing.
Families unable to obtain Singpass should approach the school. The official access FAQ says the school can communicate through alternative channels such as email. Confirm which channel will carry time-sensitive notices.
For the wider school-home communication process, read our Parents Gateway guide for Punggol families. Keep a clear distinction between identity access, child records, messages and notifications when asking for help.
Information checked on 10 October 2026. Follow the current instructions issued by your child’s school for individual arrangements.
