Additional Mathematics Paper 1 and Paper 2 require the same syllabus knowledge, but they do not feel identical under examination conditions. In the 2027 SEC G3 Additional Mathematics K341 scheme, both papers are 2 hours 15 minutes, both are worth 90 marks, both contribute 50%, and all questions are compulsory. Paper 1 has 12–14 questions of varying length, up to 10 marks per question. Paper 2 has 9–11 questions, up to 12 marks per question.
That difference matters because Paper 1 usually asks the student to switch more often across questions, while Paper 2 can place more marks inside a smaller number of longer questions.
