Launch at Punggol Regional Library is on Level 4 at One Punggol. NLB’s business resource centre offers research resources and a free Business Kickstarter consultation. Bring one question you want to answer about your idea so you can use the visit to find relevant sources.
Start with a specific customer and decision. “Would people buy this?” is hard to investigate. “How do Punggol office workers buy lunch when they have only half an hour?” gives you a place, a group and a routine to look into.
- Find Launch on Level 4 at Punggol Regional Library.
- Write down the customer, the problem and the decision you need to make.
- Compare current alternatives using dated sources.
- Book a consultation if you need help finding research.
Define one decision first

Write your idea in one sentence. Then decide what finding would make you change it. If you want to sell a takeaway lunch, for example, investigate whether your intended customers need faster collection, a different price or a different pickup time. Choose the question that matters most before gathering data.
Compare existing choices

Use NLB’s market research methods guide to choose a way of researching your question. Start with two or three options customers already use. Record where you got each fact and when you checked it. Separate observations, such as a listed price, from guesses about why customers choose it.
Bring a short research brief to Launch
The Business Kickstarter page lists an appointment option at Punggol Regional Library and explains how NLB can help identify resources. Bring your question, what you already know and one gap you are struggling to fill. Afterward, note what you can verify next.
