ECDA’s published Childminding Pilot fees are S$16.50 before GST for a five-hour half-day block and S$33 before GST for a ten-hour full-day block. These are funded pilot block rates, not universal private babysitting prices.
ECDA also says parents can use Child Development Account (CDA) money to help pay childminding fees under the pilot. Confirm the payment process and current terms with the appointed operator.
For a Punggol family, the useful budget is the operator’s quotation for the dates and hours actually available. Check eligibility, location, GST and any other applicable charges before treating a published rate as your final bill.
CHAPTER 1 OF 3
Read the rates in their pilot context
The ECDA funding-and-fees FAQ explains that funding goes to appointed operators to support affordability. It does not state a general subsidy for every childminding provider.
Ask the operator to confirm that the quoted service is under the pilot and that your infant qualifies. Keep that confirmation with the booking terms.
CHAPTER 2 OF 3
Build a quotation for your actual bookings
For illustration, four five-hour blocks at the published rate total S$66 before GST; four ten-hour blocks total S$132 before GST. This arithmetic is not a quotation or a promise that those bookings are available.
Ask what you would pay for the dates requested, what happens if you cancel, and whether the quoted total includes every applicable charge.
CHAPTER 3 OF 3
Check CDA and additional-care arrangements
Ask how CDA payment is arranged and which part of your quotation can be paid that way. Do not assume every incidental expense or private alternative has identical payment rules.
For care beyond the pilot’s usual funded hours, ECDA’s hours FAQ says additional options are discussed with operators at their regular rates. Request those prices separately.
Information checked on 18 October 2026. Confirm current eligibility, availability, fees and booking terms with the appointed operator.
