Punggol Digital MC Guide: Where to Find a Medical Certificate

Three learners review open books together at a classroom table, with stacks of textbooks, stationery and a whiteboard in the bright room.

Punggol residents looking for a digital medical certificate should start with the institution that issued the MC, not with their home address. HealthHub’s current FAQ states that medical certificates are not available through HealthHub.

For MCs issued by NHG or NUHS public healthcare institutions, HealthHub directs patients to the NHG Health App or NUHS App respectively, under the “Test Results & MC” section. SingHealth patients should follow SingHealth’s separate digital MC instructions.

If your MC cannot be found, contact the clinic or healthcare institution you visited. Have the consultation date ready, and tell the issuer whether the problem is a missing message, an inaccessible document or an incorrect detail.

Identify the issuer before choosing an app

Check your appointment information or visit receipt to establish where the consultation took place. Living in Punggol does not mean every MC you receive uses one local retrieval system.

For a private clinic, follow that clinic’s instructions. Do not assume the public healthcare cluster app routes apply to every GP, dentist or teleconsultation provider.

Follow the SingHealth route when applicable

SingHealth’s FAQ describes digital MCs accessed through a unique link sent by SMS. It also explains that there is no single mc.gov.sg page where a patient can browse all their MCs.

Check the relevant message conversation for the visit concerned. If you cannot identify the correct document, seek help from the issuer rather than entering personal information into a search result offering MC retrieval.

Check before submitting to school or work

Before forwarding a certificate, check that it is the intended document for the intended recipient. Follow your school’s or employer’s submission instructions and deadline.

Keep a private note of when you submitted it. Avoid posting an MC or its access link in a public chat, where personal information may reach people who do not need it.

Resolve access problems with the clinic

Describe the problem precisely when contacting the issuer: whether the SMS never arrived, whether the link opens, or whether the document appears to relate to another visit.

An access enquiry is different from asking for a new certificate or a medical report. Explain which document you already received so staff can direct the request appropriately; this guide cannot determine eligibility for an MC.
