Punggol Library is a participating redemption location for Book Bugs: The Secret of the Shards. NLB lists card collection from 3 August 2026 to 30 June 2027 during standard library operating hours, while stocks last.
The campaign is designed for children aged seven to twelve, but NLB says individual members with a myLibrary account can participate. Points come from eligible borrowing and monthly quizzes; one card redemption requires four points.
Start with the official Book Bugs FAQ. Redeem points through NLB Mobile or the myLibrary Rewards section, then use the generated QR or eight-digit code at a participating card machine. Earning points is not the same as collecting a physical card.

How points are earned
NLB awards one point per eligible borrowed item and up to eight per monthly quiz. Daily borrowing points are capped at 16 physical and eight digital.
Use the account’s recorded balance before planning redemptions. If you are organising a family visit, check which account earned the points instead of assuming all family activity appears in one place.

The participating-libraries list does not specify Punggol’s machine floor; ask onsite if you cannot locate it.
Have the correct redemption code ready and follow the machine instructions. Do not assume a particular design will be available simply because you saw it in a campaign picture. Keep any account or redemption questions within NLB’s official support process.

As a practical family approach, let the card collection support reading rather than dictate every choice. Pick books the child wants to explore, then make time to talk about a character, question or interesting fact.
A manageable reading plan is more useful than borrowing many items only to leave them unopened. Keep track of due dates separately from campaign progress, so a reward activity does not obscure responsibility for the loans.
