To report a campus hazard, incident, near miss or facilities issue at SIT Punggol, use the reporting section on SIT’s official Contact Us page. It includes an incident-reporting and facilities-feedback form.
For situations requiring immediate assistance, SIT’s page instructs people to call 999 or 995. An online report records information; it should not be treated as an emergency response channel.
The form covers staff, students, alumni, contractors, visitors and members of the public. Prepare the location, time and what you observed so the report can be routed accurately; you do not need to wait for someone to be injured before reporting an unsafe condition.

Choose the report that fits what happened
SIT distinguishes an incident from a near miss and from an observed hazard. Its examples include a slip that causes injury, a slip without a fall and an unsafe wet floor.
In practical terms, describe the event in your own words instead of forcing certainty about a cause you did not witness. Separate what you saw from what you think may have happened. That distinction helps avoid an unclear or misleading account.
Give a location someone can find
The form includes Campus Heart, Campus Court and an “Others” option, with space for additional location details. A campus name alone may leave too much area to search.
If safely available, provide a building, floor, room or nearby landmark. For illustration, “outside this room on this floor” is more useful than “near a staircase.” Do not approach a hazard simply to obtain a better description or photograph.
Record details through the official form
Depending on the report type, SIT requests details such as the date, time, outcome, immediate action and relevant supporting material. Read the form’s consent statement before submitting personal information.
Keep the account concise and factual. If there is uncertainty, say so. Use the official form rather than posting identifiable information about another person in a public discussion, and avoid promising a resolution time this guide cannot verify.
Use general enquiries for a different task
Routine questions about courses, visits or office contacts belong in the appropriate enquiry route. Choosing a report type that fits the issue helps the university handle it more clearly.
For orientation when describing a location, read our Campus Heart and Campus Court guide. Keep urgent assistance separate from later documentation of an incident or hazard.
