Looking for preschool trial enrolment in Punggol? ECDA says some preschools offer trial periods. Contact your chosen childcare centre or kindergarten directly to ask whether a trial is available.
Preschool trial registration and any trial fees need to be checked with the centre. Ask for the dates, hours, total charge and booking conditions before agreeing.
A trial can help your family observe the setting and discuss your child’s needs. Clarify what happens afterwards, including whether a regular place requires a separate enrolment decision.
In this guide
CHAPTER 1 OF 4
Check availability first
Ask the centre whether trials are offered for your child’s age group and the programme you want. A trial at one preschool does not establish the arrangements at another.
ECDA’s preschool trial guidance directs parents to the preschool for registration and fee enquiries.
CHAPTER 2 OF 4
Get the terms in writing
Request a written breakdown of the trial charge and any separate payments the centre asks for. Ask whether amounts are refundable or credited towards later enrolment.
Also ask how to cancel, what to bring and whether a parent can stay during the settling-in period. These are questions to confirm with the centre rather than standard promises.
CHAPTER 3 OF 4
Observe your child’s experience
Notice how teachers welcome your child, explain routines and respond when your child needs help. Ask how meals, rest and toileting are managed.
One unfamiliar session may not show your child’s longer-term adjustment. Discuss what teachers observed and how they would support the first weeks of regular attendance.
CHAPTER 4 OF 4
Confirm the next decision
Before extending attendance, ask whether a regular place is available and when you need to decide. Check the enrolment agreement and ongoing fees.
Do not assume that a trial payment establishes subsidy eligibility. Ask the centre how any formal enrolment and subsidy application would be handled for your child.
Information checked on 12 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions and the guidance given for your child’s application.
