If you have concerns about a Punggol preschool staff member’s professionalism, ECDA encourages you to share your experience directly with the centre principal or preschool management.
If the concern involves the principal, contacting preschool management lets you explain it without relying only on the person concerned. Keep the account factual and state what you want clarified.
Concerns about children’s safety and well-being have an ECDA feedback route as well. Do not treat a routine communication complaint and a safety concern as the same issue.
In this guide
CHAPTER 1 OF 4
Choose the relevant contact
ECDA’s staff professionalism guidance identifies the principal or management as the direct channel for addressing concerns.
Ask who handles the type of feedback you are raising. Use the centre’s stated contact process where available.
CHAPTER 2 OF 4
Describe what happened
Write the date, setting and what you directly observed or were told. Distinguish your own observation from information reported by someone else.
Explain the question you need answered or the change you are requesting. Avoid adding unsupported allegations or sharing other children’s details unnecessarily.
CHAPTER 3 OF 4
Make the follow-up specific
For example: “I would like clarification about this interaction on this date. Who will review it, and how will you update me?”
Keep the message and reply together. If the response does not address the concern, point out the remaining question rather than restarting with a broader accusation.
CHAPTER 4 OF 4
Use the safety feedback route when relevant
ECDA’s safety and well-being feedback guidance also gives contact@ecda.gov.sg for parents wishing to provide feedback.
Explain any current safety concern clearly and promptly. An ordinary feedback exchange should not be treated as a substitute for urgent help when a child needs immediate protection.
Information checked on 12 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions and the guidance given for your child’s situation.
