Published six-hour studio-only prices start at $155 for SAFRA members and $216.10 for the public in the Monday–Thursday non-peak category. The studio with BBQ add-on starts at $198.60 for members and $270.60 for the public. Prices include 9% GST.
Choose between the indoor studio and the BBQ add-on before requesting a quote. Published six-hour slots are 9am–3pm and 6pm–midnight; peak categories cover Friday–Sunday, public holidays and their eves. Confirm the package, approved guest count and available date before inviting guests.

Choose the studio or the BBQ package
The air-conditioned studio includes cooking appliances such as ovens, a microwave and refrigerator. The BBQ package adds a charcoal grill. Ask for the current equipment list so your menu matches what will actually be provided.
A useful first decision is whether guests will cook together, watch a demonstration or mainly share a meal. Each plan uses the space differently. Tell SAFRA about the arrangement so the team can confirm what fits.
Keep the menu manageable. A gathering becomes easier when one person coordinates the cooking timeline and another looks after arrival, drinks and seating.
Compare six-hour package prices
These selected published rates are for six-hour blocks. Check the date category and membership eligibility when requesting the final booking. A public holiday eve should not be budgeted as an ordinary weekday.

Plan the layout before the guest list
The maximum of 30 people is subject to the studio setup. A cooking demonstration, shared meal and gathering with several work areas can need different amounts of circulation space.
Give the venue team the intended number of adults and children. Ask how seating, preparation surfaces and any demonstration area will be arranged. Do not finalise an invitation list from the headline capacity alone.
For a family event, decide which adults supervise children around cooking equipment. Plan an activity away from hot surfaces so younger guests have something comfortable to do while food is prepared.
Ask what to bring and what is included
Request the fact sheet and booking terms linked on SAFRA’s page. Ask specifically about utensils, cookware, tableware, grill fuel, food storage and the responsibilities at handover.
SAFRA advertises cleaning after the event. Clarify the practical handover requirements, including leftovers, personal items and waste, so the organiser knows what must be completed before leaving.
Write a shopping list only after those details are confirmed. Include transport containers and a plan for food that guests take home. Ask about any catering or delivery arrangements you intend to use.
Send an enquiry with enough detail
Include your preferred date, alternative date, chosen slot, package, guest count and purpose. Mention filming or commercial content creation explicitly: SAFRA states that filming requests require approval and a separate rate enquiry.
Request written confirmation of the total charge, payment deadline and change or cancellation terms. Share the final access time with everyone helping to set up.
