If you are moving to Punggol and still expect mail at your old address, consider SingPost’s residential Mail Redirection service. It forwards eligible mail to the new address for the purchased period. It does not update the address held by the organisations sending your letters.
SingPost’s current instructions direct new applications to a post office with the completed form, the applicant’s NRIC and the required consent documents for additional applicants. Use the official service page to check current fees and the post-office locator before making the trip.
Redirection does not cover every delivery. SingPost lists exclusions including mail not posted through SingPost, Speedpost Islandwide Courier items and incoming Express Mail Service items. Update shopping and courier delivery addresses separately before placing orders for your Punggol home.

List the names that need coverage
SingPost allows up to six residential applicants with matching names and address under one application, subject to its conditions. Check who receives mail at the old home and include the relevant applicants rather than assuming one family member’s name covers everyone.
As practical preparation, make a list of household names and recurring senders. This helps identify missing consent documents and gives you a separate list of organisations to notify.

The published instructions require the main applicant’s NRIC and signed NRIC photocopies for additional applicants. A parent or legal guardian may consent for applicants under eighteen. Review the live form for the details applicable to your application.
Keep the old and new unit numbers precise. Similar blocks, street names or incomplete addresses can create confusion during a move, so compare the form with your confirmed address record before submitting.

SingPost’s FAQ states a maximum of six months at any one time, with subsequent extension treated as renewal. Its product page publishes the current local and overseas rates. Choose the period you need and check the total before paying.
Do not assume every month costs the same. Keep the end date on your household calendar and ask SingPost about commencement arrangements for your application rather than expecting an instant redirect.

Use redirected mail as a reminder to contact the sender through its own verified channel. As practical recordkeeping, note the date you requested the address change and whether the organisation confirmed it.
A letter arriving through redirection shows the service has helped with that item; it does not prove the sender now knows the new address. Continue the update list until recurring correspondence is addressed correctly.

Review SingPost’s exclusions before relying on the service for a particular item. Shared delivery addresses, care-of arrangements and other listed circumstances may require clarification. Ask SingPost if your address arrangement falls into an excluded category.
For online orders, inspect saved delivery addresses and any order already placed. An existing courier booking needs its own change procedure. Finish the move by checking that ordinary mail and separately arranged parcels both reach the intended location.
