If you miss the deadline in your preschool LifeSG Form 1 email, the form is cancelled. LifeSG instructs parents to return to the preschool centre so it can generate a new form.
For Punggol families applying for preschool subsidies, missing the deadline can delay subsidy processing. Ask the centre what to do next instead of assuming an expired invitation will reopen.
Use the deadline in your own invitation. Start the replacement form early and allow time for any consent or information required from the other parent or relevant family members.
In this guide
CHAPTER 1 OF 4
Identify the expired invitation
Find the email and note its deadline, application reference and centre. This gives staff a clear record to check.
Tell the centre whether you had begun the form or had not opened it. Do not describe an expired form as a completed application unless you have submission confirmation.
CHAPTER 2 OF 4
Request a new form
Follow LifeSG’s deadline instructions and ask the centre to generate the replacement.
A useful message is: “I missed the deadline for this invitation. Please advise how I should obtain and complete the new form.” Keep its answer with your records.
CHAPTER 3 OF 4
Plan the remaining steps
As practical preparation, agree who will handle the main form and who needs to respond to any additional request. Choose a time when the necessary information is available.
Set an early personal reminder rather than waiting until the final evening. If a step is unclear, ask for help while there is still time to resolve it.
CHAPTER 4 OF 4
Discuss billing separately
If the delay affects your fee planning, ask the centre to explain the current invoice and any payment arrangement it can offer.
Do not assume a replacement form guarantees approval, a particular subsidy start date or reimbursement of every earlier fee. Ask for an explanation applicable to your child’s application.
Information checked on 11 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions and the guidance given for your child’s application.
