What this page represented in 2015
The original page acted as a broad Primary-course registration page. It described eduKate’s Primary English and Mathematics programme, listed curriculum components and included photographs from the teaching period.
Its original reader job was simple and legitimate: a parent wanted to know what Primary subjects eduKate taught and what the programme contained before registering a child.
The problem is that registration pages age quickly. Timetables, tutor descriptions, examination formats and programme labels change while the URL may continue appearing in search results for years. This page therefore now serves as a dated archive rather than a live registration endpoint.
Historical Primary English programme
The 2015 English programme listed the then-current PSLE English syllabus as its core and included:

- Situational and Continuous Writing
- Comprehension
- Cloze passages
- Listening Comprehension
- Oral communication
The original page also described enrichment through:

Historical Primary Mathematics programme
The 2015 Mathematics programme described a Primary 1–6 progression aligned to the MOE curriculum and highlighted:
- conceptual understanding;
- skill proficiency;
- heuristics and problem-solving;
- everyday uses of Mathematics;
- PSLE preparation and intensive revision.
The old page also mentioned specific 2014 and 2015 intensive-course periods. Those dates are historical and are not current registration information.
What the programme philosophy was trying to do
Even in its short original form, the page contained a useful educational idea: syllabus coverage alone was not enough. English included reading and wider knowledge; Mathematics included conceptual understanding and real problem solving.
That RFE remains worth preserving. A stronger modern formulation is:
- Locate: identify the student’s actual learning need.
- Teach: make the underlying concept clear.
- Practise: use tasks at an appropriate difficulty.
- Feedback: turn errors into information.
- Retrieve: check whether learning survives after a delay.
- Transfer: test whether the student can use the idea in a less familiar context.
Why this page should no longer own current registration
eduKatePunggol now has a current service route with present-day subject coverage and class information. Leaving a 2015 registration page as though it were still operational would create unnecessary competition and reader confusion.
The permanent job of this URL is therefore programme provenance: what eduKate publicly described as its Primary programme in 2015 and how that educational thinking evolved.

Current eduKatePunggol public information describes small-group tuition with a maximum of three students, 1.5-hour lessons, provided learning materials and between-lesson WhatsApp support.
Current subject coverage includes Primary 1–6 English and Mathematics, Primary 3–6 Science, Secondary 1–4 English and Mathematics, and Secondary 3–4 Additional Mathematics.
